Newark College of Engineering, Ying Wu College of Computing, College of Architecture & Design, College of Science & Liberal Arts, Martin Tuchman School of Management

Welcome new NJIT Highlanders! New Student Orientation 1.0 (NSO) is part 1 of the required program for all incoming new students. This event will give you the opportunity to learn about the curriculum for your intended major, receive your course placements, understand the resources available to you, make new friends, learn about campus life, take your picture ID, and most of all - have fun! The cost of orientation is included with your tuition.

Parents and guardians are also invited to Family Orientation. There is a nominal cost for parents and guardians to attend Family Orientation - the cost is $36.89 per each guest. Family Orientation is a great way for parent and guardians to know more about supporting their student through NJIT. The family program does not have a budget and, therefore, depends on fees for its operation.

Please note that this orientation is for students who cannot attend their specific college orientation date.

For questions or concerns, please email us at orientation@njit.edu or call us at 973.596.5364 between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm in the summer. More information can be found at our website.
